Anxiety is not a problem to be fixed

Anxiety is a normal human feeling to be understood.

I used to think something was wrong with me because I had anxiety. That my anxiety was something I needed to fix. Constantly striving to be a better person was my coping strategy.

When I was trying to fix my anxiety it felt like hope was just around the corner. It felt good to be doing something.

The thing is...

Nothing was wrong with me. I didn’t need fixing.
I am naturally designed to be okay.
There was nothing I needed to do when I was anxious.

The same is true for you.

There is nothing wrong with you.

It’s okay if you get anxious.  It’s okay if you have a panic attack.

It’s a misunderstanding that when you’re anxious that is when you need to try and feel better.

Trying to relax/be happy when you’re feeling bad is beyond frustrating. 😩

By simply letting go of trying to find calm when you’re anxious, the anxiety becomes a whole lot more manageable.

The weight of thinking and trying can fall away.

When you drop the oars and stop resisting your anxiety will lessen.

I have found a way to have freedom from anxiety and it’s so simple.

Having freedom from anxiety and panic has improved my relationships, I’m more productive, my relationship with food and my body is better, and dare I say I look better 😉...
